In 1883, Mt. Krakatoa exploded and triggered fatal tsunami across Hindia Ocean. It sent shock wave across the world and the tsunami even reached South Africa. Embarking on this journey, you’ll be taken to get close up look at the volcano and discover the leftover of the disaster.
After the 1883’s eruption, the main island of Krakatoa split into several small volcanic islands. In fact, you’ll tour all the islands in a whole day. There is also hiking on Anak Krakatau, the second generation of Mt. Krakatoa. On this deserted off-shore mountain, you’ll discover a lot of black lava stone dotting the entire slope.
