We’re not sure if a five day trip to Jogja is enough to truly grasp what Jogja is all about. But we have done our best to pick out the highlight of Jogja for you. This package, unlike our CJ – 01 (Central Java Highlight) package tour which offers more variety of activities such as cycling, and Jeep adventure, the CJ – 02 tour offers more of beautiful scenic tour.


Two UNESCO Heritage spot is included in this package – a visit to the Borobudur Temple and The Prambanan or Roro Jonggrang temple.


The Prambanan was built on 850 AD, is the second largest Buddhist temple in Central Java, housing its own 257 buildings in the complex. With the additional spot of the unique architecture of the Prambanan of a tower 47 meters high has made this very spot gained the UNESCO Heritage recognition.


The Borobudur Temple on the other hand is the largest Buddhist complex in the world. It has 4 terraces and holds many stupas. In this package, we bring you to witness beautiful sunset from the top of this temple. Watch the temple changes from gold yellow to dark gray in harmony with sun setting down.


In the meantime, we’ve also planned some shopping experience unique of Jogja. The Malioboro Street is a famous stretch of road where you will freely roam and discover the many stalls selling merchandises on the sides of street.


Kotagede is the center of silver handcrafts. Please take a look around as the silversmiths work in their busy silver workshops.

Day 01 : Arrival Jogja - Jogja City Tour (L)

  • Arrive at Adisucipto Yogyakarta airport.
  • Our local tour guide will pick you up and take you to lunch at local restaurant.
  • After lunch, we will visit Sultan Place Kraton – a grand and elegant example of Javanese architecture. You will also see the Sultan and Royal court traditional seat there.
  • The complex consists of a number of low-lying buildings such as audience halls, museums, and the residences of Sultan and Queen.
  • Moving on to visit Taman Sari Water Castle. It is a site of former royal garden of the Sultanate of Jogjakarta, located 2 km south the grounds of the Kraton.
  • Built in mid 18th century, the Taman Sari has multiple functions such as resting area, a workshop, a meditation area, a defense area, and a hiding place. (Taman Sari means an area of beautiful garden adorned with flowers).
  • Transfer to the hotel for check in.
  • In the evening you have free time to explore Malioboro street, a major shopping street in Jogjakarta.
  • Sidewalks of both sides of street will be crowded with small stalls selling variety of goods.
  • Dinner is optional.

Day 02 : Kotagede Cultural Tour - Kasongan - Parangtritis Beach (B,L,D)

  • Head over to Kotagede after breakfast. Located South of Jogjakarta, about 5 km from the center of city.
  • Kotagede is known as the center of silver handcrafts filled with busy silver workshops.
  • You will be given time to wander freely and watch silversmiths work.
  • Next on our list is the Tirtodipuran complex where we watch yet another handcrafts, this time it’s process of making Batik.
  • We’ll have our lunch at local restaurant and continue to Kasongan Village.
  • Known as the center of traditional clay potteries industry in Jogjakarta.
  • There will be many shops and galleries which carries various kinds of collections of good standard export quality.
  • Let’s head over now to south of Jogja to Parangtritis beach – a popular tourist beach and a village area on the southern coast of Java in Bantul Regency.
  • The Parangtritis beach is located within the province of Jogjakarta Special Region.
  • Parangtritis is sometimes said to be a place to meet the legendary Nyai Loro Kidul (Queen of the South).
  • Late in the afternoon, we drive back to hotel at Jogjakarta for overnight stay.

Day 03 : Candirejo Village - Mendut & Pawon Temple - Borobudur Sunset (B,L,D)

  • In the morning, we will explore Candirejo Village, located near the famous Borobudur temple.
  • Explore the village by foot or horse carriage, known as dokar.
  • There will be plenty to discover and things to do in this area.
  • Have a chat with the villagers and get a closer look into the culture and way of life in Javanese village.
  • Discover traditional houses, locals playing traditional Java music, Gamelan, while others harvesting vanilla and chilli.
  • We will have lunch at the local restaurant before continuing to Mendut and Pawon temple.
  • Pawon temple is a Buddhist temple located between two other Buddhist temples – the Borodbudur temple and Mendut temple.
  • Mendut temple itself is a pyramid-shaped temple, housing three impressively carved stone statues.
  • At mid afternoon, we will visit the world famous heritage: Borobudur temple.
  • This is the world’s largest Buddhist complex.
  • It has 4 terraces and many stupas.
  • From the top of the temple, we will be watching a beautiful sunset – a breath taking scene with the active Mt. Merapi as background.
  • As the sun goes down, the color of Borobudur temple will change from gold-yellowish to dark-grayish.
  • Feel the serenity that this beautiful world heritage radiates.
  • Head back to Jogja city in the late afternoon.
  • Dinner will be served at local restaurant before you take a rest at the hotel.

Day 04 : Prambanan Temple & Surrounding (B,L,D)

  • After breakfast, we will explore other temples and historic sites around Jogja.
  • First we will stop by Kalasan temple which has 52 stupas. It was built in the 8th century by the same King who built and conceptualized Borobudur temple.
  • The name of the king is King Rakai Panangkaran.
  • Next is Candi Sari temple at Dusun Bondan. Just like Borobudur, this temple was used as Buddhist monastery for monks.
  • Last before lunch we also visit Sambisari Temple, a Hindu temple built in the 10th century by Sanjaya Dynasty.
  • In the afternoon we will visit Prambanan or Roro Jonggrang temple – the largest Hindu temple site in Indonesia and one of the biggest in Southeast Asia.
  • Prambanan temple was built on 850 AD.
  • The temple compound is a UNESCO World Heritage spot and has the unique architecture tower 47 meters high.
  • At the same complex, you could see the ruins of Bubrah Temple and Sewu Temple, the 2nd largest Buddhist temple in Central Java, housing 257 buildings.
  • As an option, you could take the tour to Ratu Boko Temple, where we will be trekking to the scenic spot to enjoy beautiful sunset from the temple and a view of Jogja city.
  • Another option you may choose is to watch the Ramayana Prambanan Ballet performance. The Ramayana ballet show tells the story of a legendary epic, presented in series of graceful dance movements accompanied by Gamelan music – an orchestra of traditional Javanese instruments.
  • Stay overnight in a hotel in Jogja.

Day 05 : Jogjakarta - Airport / Next Destination (B)

  • Wake up call!
  • Enjoy the morning as it is free time for you to enjoy.
  • After which we will drop you off either at the airport / next destination.
