Most of your days will be spent on the mainland with a journey to traditional villages in the opening. Do you know what the icon of Flores is? You’re right, it’s Lake Kelimutu. In fact, you’ll discover the magnificent lake on your very first day on the island.


Lake Kelimutu is also popular as Three Colored Lake. The lake is totally unique as it features three different water colors though it sits on the same mountain summit. Mystical sensation is strong here as the water color will change unpredictably. You’ll trek up the mountain before dawn so you can experience the magical vibe of this nature wonder.


We will also take you to travel back in Megalithic era at the traditional village of Bena. Observe the many menhir, megalithic tombs and stone altar located on the village center. This is an experience of a life time so don’t miss a chance to interact with locals to best absorb the tribal sensation of the community.


It’s still a long way to go and there are still more to visit in Flores. 17 Islands Sea Garden in Riung is one of them. This is a famous snorkeling spot in Flores which doesn’t only offer underwater beauty but also complete serenity. It’s a truly hidden gem with a touch of Maldives.


Komodo National Park is also on the list. You have two days exploring this unspoiled area. You’ll trek some of its islands in quest of Komodo dragons. Day 01: Ende – Moni Village (L,D)

  • On your arrival at Ende airport, our guide will meet and greet
  • We’ll take you for a culture tour first before hotel check in
  • Wolotopo village is our first stop. It’s only 30 minute drive east of Ende airport
  • Traditional stilt houses lining on a hill will be the first thing to catch your attention.
  • We’ll take you there before trekking to its highest ground to see the sacred megalithic tombs
  • Getting back to the car, we’ll drive you to local restaurant for lunch
  • Continue to Wologai traditional village for another Flores culture trip
  • Wologai offers more ancient sense compared to the previous one
  • Houses there are pretty simple with bamboo as the wall and straw as the roof. They are built in circular way, facing a stone altar
  • Time is up and we’ll drive you to Moni for overnight stay at hotel
  • Dinner at hotel or local restaurant

Day 02: Moni Village – Lake Kelimutu – Ende – Riung (B,L,D)

  • Morning call is at 3.30 A.M as the journey will be started at 4 A.M
  • Our first target is the top of Mt. Kelimutu and what you need is trek up the stairs leading to the summit.
  • Up there, please absorb the magical moment as the sun ascends the horizon, unveiling the phenomenal three colored lakes down the mountain crater
  • The lake is a truly nature wonder as the water colors change unpredictably
  • With the soothing chirp of birds, breath the fresh air while enjoying the spectacular view of surrounding
  • Let’s now get back to hotel for breakfast
  • After check out, we are ready to take you to the Blue Stone beach in Ende
  • On the way there, we’ll pass a unique traditional market named Nduaria
  • This market is located just by the main road to Ende with locals selling fresh fruit and vegetable
  • Leaving the market, we’ll arrive at Blue Stone beach in one and half an hour
  • The highlight of the beach is the many soft blue colored stone scattering around the shore. That’s why it called Blue Stone beach
  • Stoll around the coast and observe locals mining these unique stones
  • Back to the car and drop by local restaurant for lunch
  • We’ll head for Riung now for hotel check in
  • The trip will be long but endless sea panorama will accompany along the way
  • After check in, we’ll served the dinner at hotel

Day 03: Snorkeling At Riung 17 Islands Sea Park – Bajawa (B,L,D)

  • Make sure to eat proper morning meal before checking out of hotel
  • Riung is famous for its sea park and you’ll spend half of your day exploring its beauty
  • Named 17 Islands Sea Park, the protected area offers several small islands dotting the surrounding sea
  • It’s so quiet here and the marine life is unspoiled as this place is still one of Flores hidden gems
  • Traditional boat will take you to the snorkeling sites
  • We’ll pass Kalong island that becomes the habitat of thousands of fruit bats nestling during the daylight
  • Arriving at the spot, let’s discover the pristine beauty of various coral reef teeming with tropical marine creatures
  • At mid-day, the boat will transfer you to Tiga island for picnic lunch on the beach
  • Please continue snorkeling until it’s time to go back to the mainland
  • We’re then taking you to Bajawa for hotel check in
  • You must be tired, so let’s take a dip in a natural hot spring in So’a area if you want to
  • Resume the trip to the hotel
  • Enjoy your dinner at the hotel

Day 04: Bajawa – Bena Village (Megalithic Village) – Aimere Village – Borong Ruteng (B,L,D)

  • Checking out of hotel in the morning after meal
  • Do you know that in Flores, megalithic culture is still practiced? This time, you’ll find out the fact
  • We are taking you to Bena, a remote village on the forested slope of Mt. Inerie
  • You won’t believe that you can easily find almost all megalithic stuff you learn from the books here. That’s why it is also called Megalithic village
  • Table stone, menhir and even ancient megalithic tombs are still actively used and taken care
  • Taking a closer look at the traditional houses, you’ll find a lot of animal skull, horn and tusk that were sacrificed in various rituals adorning the front part
  • Let’s now visit Aimere village to see the making process of Flores traditional alcohol called Moke
  • The locals will show you how to make it from the beginning to the last step. And of course, you have a chance to taste the drink
  • Leaving Aimere, we’ll have lunch at nearby restaurant
  • Continue to Borong area in Ruteng to visit its beautiful Lake Rana Mese
  • This lake is hidden in the middle of lush jungle. So you need to take a walk to get there.
  • Around the lake, the air is so fresh, the water is so clear and the surrounding is so quiet. It’s mostly lonely with only some locals fishing on the lake banks
  • Absorb the peaceful feeling here as you enjoy the panorama
  • Get back to the car and head for Ruteng for overnight stay in hotel
  • Dinner is served at hotel

Day 05: Ruteng – Cancar Spider Web Rice Field – Labuan Bajo – Rinca Island (B,L,D)

  • After breakfast, we’ll leave the hotel and head over to southwest
  • Our destination is Cancar village famous for its unique paddy fields
  • Different from ordinary rice terraces, rice field in Cancar is designed in a huge circular area that makes it resemble a giant spider web.
  • You may trek down the field or hike up nearby hill to get the best view of this nature wonder
  • Your Flores overland tour is done and now let’s embark on a voyage to the beautiful Komodo National Park
  • We’ll hire a pinishi boat from Labuan Bajo to explore Komodo Islands
  • Our next stopover is Rinca island and on the way there, please enjoy he lunch on the boat
  • Arriving at Rinca island, a local ranger will be your guide as you trek up the island
  • All around Komodo National Park, Rinca is one of three islands inhabited by komodo dragons.
  • The dragons are easily found here as Rinca has more dragons compared to other two islands
  • This is natural forest so other animals like wild buffaloes, deer, pigs, long-tailed monkey and chirping birds will be easily encountered too.
  • Before dark, we’ll get back to the boat for dinner and overnight stay

Day 06: Rinca Island – Komodo Island – Pink Beach – Labuan Bajo (B,L,D)

  • Wake up early so you have time to catch the stunning sunrise over Komodo National Park
  • Get ready and finish your breakfast
  • We’ll do another trekking and this time the destination is Komodo island
  • A ranger will lead you during the activity here
  • Be prepared to get amazed as the dragons on this island are bigger that those on Rinca
  • As you reach the highest ground of the island, please enjoy the view of emerald sea dotted with green colored islands
  • Get back to the boat and we’ll transfer you to the other of Komodo island, the famous Pink Beach to be precise
  • All around the park, this beach is one of the favorite snorkeling sites
  • So, what are you waiting for! Throw yourselves into the water and explore the unspoiled array of color down there
  • Enjoy your picnic lunch just on the shore
  • You may continue you fun time on the beach until it’s the time to head back to Labuan Bajo
  • You’ll stay in Labuan Bajo hotel on your last day
  • Let’s enjoy dinner at local restaurant

Day 07: Labuan Bajo Airport/Next Destination (B)

  • After breakfast, you have free time
  • You can simply relax at the hotel or take a stroll around Labuan Bajo harbor during the time
  • You’ll check out of hotel in the afternoon and our driver will take you to Labuan Bajo airport
  • But if you want to extend your holiday in Flores, we are pleased to take you to your chosen destination
  • The tour ends as you arrive at the airport or your next destination
