Imagine spending 9 days of your life surrounded by beautiful nature of Bali. In this exploration package, we are going to trek to many places and witness the beautiful and famous spots of Bali. Our first destination is the east side of Bali where you will find many famous temples, built in as early as 15th century. The temples are still preserved and provides insights into the history of early settlers of Bali. One of the more famous temple is the Besakih temple – the biggest Hindu temple in Bali. This temple is believed to be built in pursuant to cosmos balance. Thus it serves as symbolic balance of the world existence.


We will also be visiting Tenganan village – the oldest traditional village of Bali. The area still inherits and practice the culture of Bali Aga Village (Hindu prehistoric) culture and has different way of life to other villages in Bali. This area is very unique, and is appointed as tourist destination.


After a little bit of history and the majestic temples of Bali, we will explore the beauty of Bali nature. Starting with the north east of Bali seashore, a place called Amed – one of the best diving places in the world.


There will be plenty of sightseeing, on the 5th day for example, we will hike to the top of Mt. Batur to enjoy the sunrise. While the sun rises, we will be serving breakfast of teas and boiled eggs, cooked using the natural steam from the volcano.
In this trip, we have also included a very famous destination which is the Jatiluwih rice fields – a declared UNESCO heritage. Enjoy the beautiful rice paddies in the area. You will be trekking along the slope of Mt. Batukaru, located 700 meters above sea level, you can be assured it will be a comfortable cool walk.


This package, in essence, is the famous spots of Bali packaged into one amazing holiday trip. Apart from what we have highlighted above, there are things we cannot possibly mention all in this summary. During your trip in Lovina, you will get a chance to ride on Bali traditional boat and observe colonies of dolphins swim and play.

Day 01 : Denpasar / Airport - Candidasa (L)

  • Our local guide will greet you at the airport or hotel.
  • The first destination is the eastern part of Bali, approximate time to reach here is 2 hours 30 minutes.
  • En route, we will stop at the coastal fishing village at Kusamba Beach. Observe colorful fishing boats lined up all along the beach. You can also see small salt making huts on the beach.
  • Arrive at Candidasa and check in at the hotel.
  • You may rest or relax on the beach.

Day 02 : South Eastern Coast Bali Explorer - Tengganan Village - Besakih (B,L)

  • This is the day we start our adventure exploring East Coast Bali.
  • The first interesting place is Tenganan Village which is one of the oldest traditional Balinese village. This village is located in Manggis sub district in the Karangasem regency.
  • Tenganan village itself is geographically situated among the hills in the west and east part of this village.
  • The village is divided into three complexes: Resident, plantation, and rice field complex.
  • What is interesting about this village is its unique community. This area after all inherits the culture of Bali Aga Village (Hindu prehistoric) culture and has different way of life to other countryside of Bali.
  • This village is now appointed as tourist destination, providing attractive and unique matters which adds variation and fascination of incoming tourists.
  • In the afternoon, we will drive along small, scenic roads to Besakih.
  • We’ll make a stop at Sibetan village and observe traditional weaving.
  • Visit the salak plantation and taste Bali’s famed salak (snakeskin fruit).
  • Our lunch is at local restaurant serving Balinese cuisine, surrounded by great panoramas over rice terraces. You can see Mt. Agung serving as background to these rice terraces.
  • Continue our trip to Mother temple of Besakih – the biggest Hindu temple in Bali.
  • Historically, this temple was built pursuant to cosmos balance. Hence, it serves symbolically as the balance of world existence.
  • Next is the South Eastern coast of Bali in the area of Klungkung. On the way, we’ll make a stop at Goa Lawa.
  • Lawa in itself means bat. Thus Goa Lawa means bat cave.
  • Goa Lawa however is regarded as one of Bali’s six most important temple. In fact, it is said to have an underground connection with Besakih temple.
  • Upon arrival in Klungkung, we visit the former Royal Courts of Justice – the Kertagosa.
  • The highlight at this place is an elaborately decorated ceiling featuring Wayang style painting that depicts the battle of good versus evil.
  • In the late afternoon, we will return to our hotel in Candidasa.

Day 03 : Candidasa - Underwater Experience in Amed (B,L)

  • Breakfast time!
  • Then let us explore the beautiful, less visited province of Karangasem.
  • Let’s start with a visit to Tirta Gangga – water of the Ganges’
  • This sacred water palace was built in the early twentieth century by the last King of Karangasem.
  • The place boasts many decorative ponds and fountains, lush plant life and natural bathing pools.
  • We are now off to the north east of Bali seashore to Amed – one of the best diving place in the world.
  • Enjoy the underwater experience and see the famous USS Liberty which was torpedoed by the Japanese in 1942.
  • The USS Liberty now sits just 120 meters offshore, making it accessible for tourists.
  • In this area, since it’s close to the shore, snorkeling is available as option.
  • We spend overnight in Tulamben or Amed beach resort.

Day 04 : Amed - Sidemen Countryside - Kintamani Cycling (B,L,D)

  • Our first agenda today is to head to Sidemen Valley in east Bali.
  • We will trek along the path that leads to the irrigation channel among the green valley of Sideman.
  • This valley is located at the foot Bali’s highest mountain – Mt. Agung.
  • Starting early will give us more opportunity to explore this scared mountain.
  • Continue our trek and you will be led to witness beautiful scenes of local people doing farming activities: planting rice, cow plowing harvesting, cutting grass, and bathe in the river.
  • After the trek, we will stop at Sideman village Center to see the traditional market and traditional weaving activities.
  • Next, we proceed to Kintamani Village.
  • You will enjoy the beautiful panoramic view of Batur caldera with cycling experience.
  • The tour will start around Lake Batur for about 2-3 hours.
  • Enjoy this trip as we visit temples, Balinese house compounds and feel the village atmosphere.
  • We will be passing by tropical plantations and see beautiful scenery of rice fields.
  • At the end of the day, we will drop you at the mountain resort with lake view in Penelokan Village.

Day 05 : Sunrise Batur Trek - Lovina Beach (B,L,D)

  • Early morning call to start our summit trek of Batur volcano.
  • Our starting point begins at Jati Temple at Toyabungkah.
  • In approximately 2-3 hours, we will have reached the top of caldera where we will be witnessing spectacular view of sunrise.
  • While you enjoy the sunrise, you will be served nature breakfast using the volcano’s steam to cook tea and boiled eggs.
  • Explore around the amazing crater before we descend back to the village.
  • The trip will continue to Toya Bungkah Hot Spring located on the shore of Lake Batur.
  • There’s a swimming pool where the water is warm, you may relax yourself here.
  • Check out from the hotel after lunch and head to the north shore of Bali.
  • We will pass a small coastal village of Kubutambahan before making a stop at Beji Subak Temple located at Sangsit in Bueleleng Regency.
  • This temple is built in the 15th century and is famous for its beautiful carving and displays excellence examples of colorful architecture of Northern Bali.
  • Continue along the north coast of Bali to Lovina beach by passing Singaraja – North Bali’s capital.
  • Check in at the hotel and stay overnight in Lovina beach.

Day 06 : Dolphin Attraction - Munduk Village (B,L,D)

  • Early in the morning before breakfast, you have an opportunity to sail offshore of Lovina beach in a Balinese traditional boat (Jukung).
  • Watch colonies of dolphin swim and play in their natural habitat.
  • Leave Lovina and head to Buddhist temple and Monastery located in Banjar Village – North Bali. The monastery is still in use until now, you will find groups of people staying in the Ashram nearby.
  • Some believed Buddhists first came to this area in the 6th century.
  • The entrance to the temple is free, but donations are welcome.
  • You will need to wear sarong before you enter the temple, which will be provided for free.
  • The Buddhist temple is located in the hills above Lovina and offers lovely views.
  • Continue our Bali exploration in the village of Munduk, a small mountain village located between 500 – 1200 meters above sea level. The temperature is a cool 20 to 25°C.
  • With a population of 6,200 people, the village of Munduk has rich history and legends.
  • This village exports commodities such as coffee, cocoa, cloves, and vanilla.
  • We will take our time, walk pass the coffee and clove plantation for hours. It is pretty easy trail.
  • Arrive at the 1st Munduk waterfall.
  • Watch the waterfall and begin another walk to our next destination which is Gobleg village located on the slope of the hill. It is roughly a 45 minutes walk.
  • From here on, you will pass a pretty steep trail with solid clay and bamboo trees around you. Our destination is the 2nd waterfall. But on the way there, we will make a stop at a local house to enjoy Balinese coffee and Balinese cake. Yum! We will then continue to our 2nd waterfall spot.
  • Our next trip is through the salak plantation (salak is a type of fruit) and rice terraces. Having arrived here, you will have a chance to take a break and take some pictures.
  • Another steep path but easy walk will get us to the 3rd waterfall.
  • We will stay overnight at Eco resort in Munduk.

Day 07 : Munduk - Bedugul - Jatiluwih Paddy Field - Mengwi - Ubud (B,L,D)

  • This morning before leaving Munduk, enjoy the mountain breeze of the village.
  • After that, proceed to Bedugul by passing the famous recreation Ulun Danu Temple – famous and important Hindu temple located on shore of lake Beratan.
  • While here, don’t forget to enjoy the beautiful panorama view of Beratan lake view. The mountain will serve as a backdrop view.
  • What is unique here when the lake water happens to be going up, the temple will be seen like floating on the water.
  • Continue our drive up the slopes of Mt. Batukaru – the 2nd highest volcano in Bali.
  • We are going to visit a declared UNESCO heritage rice fields of Jatiluwih.
  • Take a leisure 1 hour trek through the terrace rice fields on the slope of Mt. Batukaru.
  • Located 700 meters above sea level, you can be assured your walk will be relaxing, fun, and accompanied with cool atmosphere.
  • While in this area, we will be learning about subak style of rice production in Bali.
  • This area will be closed with lovely lunch in the restaurant with panoramic view of the nature paddy field.
  • Drive to the Royal Ayun Temple in Mengawi.
  • This temple is well known for its unique multi roof structures and beautiful settings of fish ponds.
  • By late afternoon, we will arrive in Ubud Art village.

Day 08 : Ubud Village (B,L)

  • Ubud has many interesting places.
  • First, we will be visiting the traditional market where locals sell food, handicrafts, and textile.
  • Next to the market is the Peliatan Royal Palace. This palace is built with very traditional Balinese architecture, built back in the 16th century.
  • Proceed to ARMA Museum where you will get a good insight of Balinese arts and culture.
  • Up next is the famous Ubud Monkey Forest which is a nature reserve and temple complex in Ubud.
  • The forest houses approximately 400 monkeys (Long tail monkey).
  • Lunch is served at local Balinese restaurant.
  • In the afternoon, after a little bit of relaxation, we will complete the tour by witnessing traditional Balinese dance in the evening.
  • You will be treated to a performance in a nearby village.
  • After the dance performance, we return to Ubud – dinner as an option.
  • Stay overnight in Ubud.

Day 09 : Ubud - Aiport Bali / Nusa Dua / Kuta (B)

      Spend the morning at your leisure with optional activities:


  • Enjoy an adventure experience whitewater rafting in Ayung River. While you raft, you will be enjoying view of paddies.
  • Ayung river is grade 2-3 classified by international rafting standard and is safe for beginners.
  • This adventure lasts 2-3 hours, you can enjoy the views of wonderful waterfalls and landscapes.
  • Lunch will be provided after you finish the adventure.




  • The first hike will be exploration of the Campuhan Ridge about an hour long.
  • Campuhan is a sacred area and it means ‘where two rivers meet’. The two rivers are Wos river and Agung river.
  • The meeting of this two river in a valley provides a stunning area to walk around and do some exploration along the narrow paths.
  • Continue to explore the scenic Tegalalang rice field located 20 minutes from Campuhan Ridge by car. The drive to the area will take you through countryside of Ubud.
  • Tegalang rice field is the most visited rice field in Bali.
  • It is designed beautifully with exquisite hollowing rice field, precisely located on the hill bank.
  • Witness local farmers plant their rice in oblique areas, complete with traditional irrigation system called Subak.
  • Enjoy the beauty and greenery of rice paddies and the valleys with coconut trees.
  • Bali Pulina is located just 5 minutes of drive from Tegalalang rice field.
  • Bali Pulina is a hidden organic plantation. We will be learning how Balinese coffee is made.
  • This is the best spot for sampling different coffees, teas, pure cocoa, and organic spices.
  • Bali Pulina like everything else in the area also showcase beautiful rice fields.
  • In the valleys, Bali Pulina also grows the most unique coffee in the world called Luwak coffee.
  • Gunung Kawi will complete our hiking trip. Gunung Kawi temple is an 11th century temple that lies among rice paddies in the thick jungle in Tampaksiring – north east of Ubud.
  • To get here you will need to conquer 270 steps, but the place is special and worth the effort.
  • You will see huge shrines that are carved into the cliffs at both sides of Pakerisan River, connected by a stone bridge.
  • Located along the Pekerisan river, this spot is another spot recognized by UNESCO 2012 as world heritage.
  • Check out from the hotel in the afternoon.
  • We will bring you to Bali airport / your next destination in Kuta / Nusa Dua.
